From Cameroon: CCIS Sfax Reinforces “MEDIBAT 2027” as a Leading Regional Platform for Partnership and Investment
True to its commitment to strengthening the international outreach of the Mediterranean Building Trade Fair “MEDIBAT 2027,” the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry leveraged its participation in the “Africa Innovation 2026” program in Cameroon, held from May 9 to 14, 2026. The Chamber used this continental platform to promote the fair’s 19th edition, as part of its broader strategy to expand its network of economic partners across Africa and the Mediterranean region.
The Chamber was represented at this gathering by its Director General, Mr. Hichem Elloumi, in his capacity as a member of the international jury for this event dedicated to innovation, women’s entrepreneurship, and the acceleration of African startups — a presence reflecting the Chamber’s growing standing within Africa’s economic landscape.
On the sidelines of this participation, Mr. Elloumi held a series of meetings with officials and representatives of economic institutions, during which he presented “MEDIBAT 2027” as a leading international economic platform bringing together stakeholders in the building, construction, and infrastructure sectors. “This fair is a genuine crossroads for African and Mediterranean economic players — a space where professional relationships turn into concrete partnerships and investment,” he noted, underlining the platform’s role in consolidating cooperation and driving investment between the two regions.
The rendezvous is set for Sfax, from April 21 to 24, 2027, for this 19th edition — now firmly established as a key gathering for building, construction, and infrastructure professionals at the regional level.
